Apple to unveil new iPad soon
    2017-05-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Apple is set to release a 10.5-inch iPad Pro at its highly anticipated* World Developers Conference in June.

The device is expected to resemble the 9.7-inch model, but will boast a larger screen on the same chassis size with narrower bezels, and comes amid falling global tablet sales.

The tech giant has also been said to unveil its weapon to take on Amazon at the event — a Siri-powered smart speaker.

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the iPad will mirror the design of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8. He speculates* that Apple will ship about six million 10.5-inch iPad Pros this year.

But what has many iOS fans sitting on the edge of the seats is the possibility of a Siri Speaker.

Rumors regarding the smart speaker hit the web in September 2016, when news spread that the device had left the research and development lab and was being tested as a prototype*.

Although this technology would put the iPhone maker in the same game as Amazon and Google, who is developing Google Home, Apple envisions it a little different — it would augment* its smartphones.(SD-Agencies)
