Zhang Qian zhqcindy@163.com Shenzhen University (SZU) is welcoming 2,656 new postgraduate students from all around China for the new school year that begins in fall, announced the university yesterday. According to the university, thousands of students applied for master’s programs at SZU this year, despite the fact that many students prefer higher-ranking universities. As many as 3,232 students fulfilled the university’s requirements for the Unified National Graduate Entrance Examination that took place in December last year. The university eventually decided to accept 2,656 students for the coming school year in September. This number includes 430 recommended students who did not have to sit for the entrance exam. The number has increased by 10 percent compared to last year and ranks first in Guangdong Province. |
