SUNWODA Electronics Co. and Siemens PLM Software signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the sidelines of the Sino-German Symposium on Smart Manufacturing. Sunwoda will collaborate with Siemens on exploring smart manufacturing in the new energy industry and integrated solutions for digital factories. The deal aims to capitalize on a new path of transformation and upgrading for the nation’s manufacturers. For Shenzhen’s manufacturers, this is also believed to be a good opportunity to gradually advance their production mode from conventional to digital and finally intelligent manufacturing. Both sides reached an agreement on a five-year scheme which starts with consulting and planning Sunwoda’s smart manufacturing and digital factory, so that a model digital factory that focuses on new energy can be established. “Sunwoda is a typical example for manufacturing transformation. Our final mutual goal of ‘Made in China 2025’ will be achieved by utilizing technical methods in the new energy industry to cast a mass-scale, diversified and intelligent-production assembly line,” said Liang Naiming, vice president of Siemens PLM. According to Cui Bin, Sunwoda’s assistant to director of intelligent manufacturing research institute, Sunwoda plans to fulfill the contract through partial informatization, digital connection, integrated business and industry 4.0.
