Adidas rolls out AM4 shoes
    2017-10-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Adidas has announced the AM4 (Adidas Made For) series, a range of trainers tailored* specifically for select cities around the world.

This might seem like a marketing stance by the company, but the bright side is the benefits to the runners. This will further increase their competitiveness in terms of performance on tracks and other sports fields.

Adidas co-created the shoes using athletic data to shape the design and development process, working closely with a group of consumers from the city.

London is the first city to roll out the shoes, with AM4 trainers for Paris, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo and Shanghai planned in the coming months. This process will be applied in future locations to achieve the best tailoring possible for each city.

In terms of designs, Adidas did not share many details. But the company is considering the rainy weather of Britain. This will lead them to add certain waterproofing* technologies in the final design.

The AM4 project is a constant beta* mode, with insights taken from consumers following each product launch used to shape future designs. The key change in AM4 trainers is that the outsole* features a different construction, designed for more grip and more stability.

The introduction of AM4 also sees the launch of Adidas’ Speedfactory facility in Ansbach, Germany. The robot army of the plant is helping the company in exploring, testing, and co-creating with the users. At the same time, Adidas aims at providing consistent inventions and innovative designs to accommodate* the athletes.

Adidas said its cutting-edge* technologies will lead them to create products in incrementally higher. The pairs will receive advanced complexities in materials, sizes, and colors as well.
