Steve Reevis dies ACTOR Steve Reevis, who had supporting roles in the movies “Fargo” and “Last of the Dogmen,” has died. He was 55. Ralph Foster of the Foster Funeral Home said Friday that Reevis died Thursday at a hospital in Missoula, Montana, the United States. A member of the Blackfeet Tribe in northwestern Montana, he also appeared in the movies “Geronimo,” “Dances With Wolves” and the 2005 version of “The Longest Yard” and acted in several television episodes, including “Walker, Texas Ranger,” “Jag” and “Bones.” Black List THE 2017 Black List, the annual list of favorite unproduced screenplays based on an industry survey, will be unveiled today. Eighty presenters will take part in announcing the 76 screenplays that constitute the 13th annual Black List. Among those scheduled to take part are Jake Gyllenhaal, Margot Robbie, Rian Johnson, John Cheadle and Lena Waithe. Beginning at 9 a.m. Pacific Time on Dec. 11 at the Black List’s Twitter account, @theblcklst, every two minutes, a new presenter will announce the title of one of the scripts, its author and logline. The videos will be tweeted in random order. The ordered list in its entirety will be available at 12 p.m. at http://www.blcklst.com. Since the Black List’s creation in 2005, more than 325 Black List scripts have been produced. Black List movies have won 50 Academy Awards, including four of the last nine best picture winners and 10 of the last 20 best screenplay Oscars. New film MATT SHAKMAN is set to direct TriStar’s live action/hybrid adaptation of the Norton Juster classic children’s book “The Phantom Tollbooth.” Phil Johnston wrote the latest draft of the script, originally by Michael Vukadinovich. First published in 1961 with illustrations by Jules Pfeiffer, “The Phantom Tollbooth” centers on Milo, an apathetic child who is bored by everything.
