The Shenzhen Yantian District Model United Nations Conference 2017 was jointly organized by the Yantian District Foreign Affairs Office, Yantian District Committee of the Communist Youth League, Yantian District Education Bureau and Shenzhen Foreign Languages School.

The conference attracted a total of 50 students from six middle schools in Yantian District. All the student delegates expressed their views on behalf of the country they represented through English speech, multilateral caucus, negotiation and voting.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation in which students engage in diplomacy, international relations, and other functions of the United Nations. MUN requires participants to conduct research and practice public speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
