Kim Cattrall slams Sarah Jessica Parker for outreach after brother’s death
    2018-02-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

KIM CATTRALL has slammed Sarah Jessica Parker for reaching out with messages of sympathy following the death of Cattrall’s 55-year-old brother last week.

In an Instagram message posted Saturday, Cattrall argued that her former “Sex and the City” castmate had been sending sympathetic messages in order to restore her “nice girl” persona that had been tarnished by the pair’s alleged ongoing feud.

“Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now,” Cattrall wrote in the post. “Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

Cattrall then posted a link to a New York Post story called “Inside the mean-girls culture that destroyed ‘Sex and the City.’” The story, written by a longtime Page Six editor, argued that Parker had formed a “clique” on the “Sex and the City” set that left Cattrall out.

On Andy Cohen’s talk show “Watch What Happens Live” in early February, Parker said she was “heartbroken” over Cattrall’s claims that she and her “Sex and the City” castmates were never friends. “I found it very upsetting because that’s not the way I recall our experience,” Parker said. Cattrall originally made comments about not considering her former HBO colleagues “friends” on a segment on “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories” in October 2017. She has been telling “Sex and the City” fans that she will not return to do a third movie since at least October 2017.

Cattrall’s 55-year-old brother was found dead last week at his home in Lacombe, Alberta in Canada after he had been missing for a few days. “At this time we ask for privacy,” Cattrall wrote in her announcement of the death on Twitter and Instagram. “We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time.”(SD-Agencies)
