Italian ceramics

An exhibition of ancient Italian ceramics is being held in town. The ceramics are on loan from the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza.

‘Mysterious Dunhuang’

“Mysterious Dunhuang,” an immersive and informative exhibition featuring ancient Dunhuang Mogao cave art in Northwest China’s Gansu Province, is being held at OCT Harbor. The Dunhuang Academy set up seven life-sized Mogao caves with mural reproductions all over the walls and ceilings.

Art and technology

At “The Ecstasy of Time: Reshaping the Medium of Knowing” exhibition, 11 artists rethink the interfaces we use to understand the way technology alters our perceptions of nature while also highlighting its effect on the social, ethical and cultural dimensions of our society.

Design exhibitions

Design-themed exhibitions, “Minding the Digital” (until June 3) and “Values of Design” (until 2019), are being held in Shekou. Drawing from the V&A’s extensive collection in London, “Values of Design” features over 250 objects from year 900 to the present. “Minding the Digital” brings visitors into a novel world of immersive experiences shaped by digital technologies.
