To mark the sixth anniversary of the release of the first generation of Raspberry Pi 1 Model B, Seeed Studio will organize a Raspberry Pi Jam on Sunday to invite Raspberry Pi community members to show their projects or tell their stories. The Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to promote the teaching of basic computer science in schools and in developing countries. If you have projects that you’d like to share with the community, please bring them to the event and give a 5-10 minutes pitch explaining your work; you might have a chance at winning a Pi Zero Kit sponsored by Seeed. Seeed will present a DIY 2048 game rewritten in Python on Raspberry Pi. The numbers in the grid are swapped with a series of words that explain the process of how an idea becomes a real product in the market. If your project is not portable and cannot be brought to the venue, you can still share the story of your Raspberry Pi journey for 5-10 minutes at the event, and you will be given the chance to win a Maker Faire Shenzhen T-shirt, which is sponsored by the Maker Faire Shenzhen Team. Roni Gorodetsky, a maker/developer from Israel, will also come and share about his story and projects. Gorodetsky has partnered with Intel to work on smart home with artificial intelligence projects in Israel. He participated in the Intel ISEF 2015 competition and made it among the top-50 finalists out of 500 contestants. He now works as a part-time project manager for an open source hardware company in Shenzhen. Pies, beers and snacks will be served at the event, and there will surely be a variety of community members to discuss similar or differing perspectives with you.
