Talent fair expands presence
    2018-03-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

PROFESSIONALS and graduates from Hong Kong universities are invited to find employment or start up businesses on the mainland by attending a job fair to be held in Hong Kong from April 15 to 16 by the organizers of the 16th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP).

It is the first time that Hong Kong will be the subvenue of the CIEP. The organizers will arrange for enterprises in Shenzhen, the Pearl River Delta region and from other provinces to attend the fair and attract talents, according to one of the organizers, the Shenzhen Center of International Exchange of Professionals.

Foreign experts and overseas professionals from 72 countries and regions will attend CIEP, which will be held at the main venue of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in April and covers 12 categories including talent recruitment, exhibition negotiation, project matchmaking, forums and seminars.

To mark the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up, the organizers will showcase China’s achievements in attracting overseas talents and organize activities to select the most influential experts in China from the past 40 years and the most attractive Chinese cities in the eyes of foreigners.

Germany will be the fair’s guest country of honor this year and a subvenue will be opened to attract professionals and promote talent exchanges between enterprises, institutions and universities in China and Germany.

For the first time, the organizers will set up an exhibition area for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which will display the industrial plan, development mission and talent policies for the nine cities in the bay area.
