Logo design award

THE organizer of China Hi-tech Fair is seeking a logo design to mark its 20th anniversary by offering a 30,000-yuan (US$4,724) award.

The fair was first held in Shenzhen in 1999 and has become the most influential science and technology exhibition in China.

A judging panel will shortlist six designs from the entries and the fair organizer will decide the final prizewinner.

Designers can email their designs to cenka@chtf.com by March 30 and send the printed designs to Room 316B at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District.

The final winner will be announced in May.

Superlight baby saved

The baby, named Qiqi, was born at the end of September after 24 weeks of pregnancy and was in critical condition due to immature organs. Under the care of doctors, Qiqi overcame survival challenges and had grown to 4.55 kilograms as of being discharged from the hospital Tuesday.
