Beach Fossils

Beach Fossils is a U.S. indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York formed in 2009. The group currently includes Dustin Payseur, Jack Doyle Smith and Tommy Davidson. They are known for their lo-fi, atmospheric sound and Payseur’s vocal style. In May 2010, their self-titled debut album was released and met with favorable reviews. In 2016, Beach Fossils starred in supporting roles in the HBO television series “Vinyl.” Its latest LP “Somersault” was released last year.

Faye

Chan Wen-ting, known as Faye, is a Taiwanese singer. She is the lead vocalist of pop rock band F.I.R. who won Golden Melody Award for Best New Artist in 2005. In 2017, Faye made her solo debut with the album “Little Outer Space.”

Leiluo

Leiluo, which consists of Beijing music producer Wang Lei and Shanghai musician Yile, will present a night of crossover music. At the Shenzhen show, Beijing jazz guitarist Chen Hongwei, Australian jazz trumpet player Toby Mak, Shenzhen drummer Yu Lei, guitarist Li Shuofeng, singer Liu Xiaohuan and suona player Wang Huili will be guest performing.

Reflector

Reflector is a rock band that formed in Beijing in 1997. According to the band’s official English language website, Reflector has been featured on CNN and in Newsweek magazine. Reflector lists among its English language musical influences the bands Green Day, NOFX and Lagwagon. In 2000 their song “Scream Club” was featured in the movie “Warm Summer Day.” In 2001 Reflector became one of the first bands from China to tour the United States, including a gig in Sacramento opening for former punk band Anti-Flag. At the Shenzhen show, Reflector will bring their love and perseverance in punk music, presenting a more shocking show.

Zhou Yunpeng

Zhou Yunpeng is a poet and folk singer. He lost the ability to see at the age of 9 and learned to play the guitar at 15. Through his involvement with a charity event called “Red Bulldozer” for blind children, he was nominated for Mr. Fashion in 2010. In 2011, his ballad “A Love That Can’t Talk” won the People’s Literature Award in the category of best ballads. He starred and wrote scores for movie “Beijing Blues” in 2012. It won Best Picture, Best Editing and Best Cinematography in the 49th Taiwan Golden Horse Award.
