Reading season kicks off at Shenzhen No.2 Experimental School
    2018-04-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

深圳第二实验学校本年度“读书季”启动

Guided by the motto “Simplicity, effectiveness, creativity and modernity,” the 2018 Reading Season, an annual event at Shenzhen No.2 Experimental School, kicked off recently.

The reading season includes a diverse array of activities such as the “I Am an Orator” speech competition, a calligraphy competition, the “My Favorite Book” poster design contest and an English hand-copied paper design.

Among all the activities, the short film competition, “I Want to Recommend a Nice Book,” combines reading with modern technology and encourages students to practice and master the visual media.

The poetry competition brought the popular reading program to campus, greatly motivating students to read classical Chinese works and poetry. The “Belt and Road vs. global history” landscape painting and handicraft-making contests brought the history in books to life. The composition competition and the English reading competition assessed the reading and writing capabilities of the students.

According to the school, the reading season this year encourages students to search out good books and fall in love with reading.
