    2018-04-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A TOTAL of 12 l experts were appointed as the cultural advisers of the Futian Cultural Council on March 30.

To build an international think tank platform, the Cultural Council will put its research and communication system into practice, highlight the decision-making and advisory functions of the Cultural Council and invite more cultural advisers.

“The Cultural Council has become an important source of support for scientific decision-making about cultural events,” said Xiong Guoxiong, Futian’s publicity chief.

During the past three years, the Cultural Council has proposed solutions for major issues regarding Futian District’s cultural reform and development. The cultural advisers proposed nearly 50 suggestions for the preparation of Futian District’s public culture construction, according to Xiong.

Futian Cultural Council, which was established in 2014, is the first district-level “Cultural Council” in China. It is dedicated to promoting cultural mechanism innovation. The council is also in charge of evaluating the spending for cultural and sports projects and supervising the results of cultural projects.

In 2017, the council voted in favor of 104 projects requesting 198 million yuan from the district cultural and sports fund after evaluating 246 applicant projects that asked for 475 million yuan in subsidies.(Nan Nan)
