FUTIAN will invest more in education this year with an education budget of 5.235 billion yuan, a 30.34 percent increase compared with the last year.

Tian Hongming, director of the Futian District Education Bureau, reviewed and summarized the progress made by the district in education last year at the 2018 education work conference of Futian District on March 28. He said that in the past year, Futian District had focused on increasing the seats for compulsory education and improving the teaching quality.

This year, Futian will further provide education development with financial support, offer school lunches and upgrade student canteens. Besides, the district is going to build two new schools and three kindergartens, expand two schools, add 4,200 school seats, provide 800 preschool seats and speed up the construction of eight schools that will be built by construction companies.

Tian also pointed out in 2017 that Futian will stick to the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress, further deepen the comprehensive reform of education, improve the balance of education and build a high-quality education environment. (A Ding)
