    2018-05-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

深圳第三高级中学开辟德国高中留学直通车

For most parents, sending their children to public tuition-free universities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria seems to be an unattainable goal, but now their dreams can be realized at No.3 Senior High School of Shenzhen.

The school cooperated with MY Education Service International to open a preparatory class for students who plan to study in Germany after graduating from junior high school.

As the only school with an overseas course in Shenzhen and one of the two public middle schools approved by the city superintendant, No.3 Senior High plans to recruit 376 students for its study abroad class this year, 50 through independent recruitment and 326 through applications for the senior high school entrance examination.

All applicants of the overseas course must sit the senior high school entrance examination. Qualifying students with special skills in art are preferred.

According to Huang Qiong, director of No.3 Senior High, the school will open one or two study abroad course this year, each having around 20 students.

Once admitted, students will first spend one year studying German and German high school preparatory courses at No.3 Senior High before going to Germany to study at the famous Gymnasium Boarding Senior High School.

In Germany students will study for three years to acquire “Abitur,” the German senior high school graduation certificate, with which students will enjoy equal treatment with their German peers and can apply for all majors at public tuition-free universities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
