Shenzhen Polytechnic and Huawei Technologies Co. have recently signed an agreement for more collaboration in the information and communications field. According to the pact, the two sides will give play to their strong suits and work together to promote cooperation in terms of improving the development of the field, cultivating talents, building training bases and labs, increasing internship and employment opportunities, constructing smart schools and information-based education, and building a digitalized teaching resources bank, in a bid to push forward the cultivation of talents in the information communication technology (ICT) field.

Based on the previous cooperation, the two will continue to focus on resources integration, market research, talent standards, vocational training and appraisal and labs for cloud computing, big data and software engineering. In addition, a training base for ICT personnel will be built at Shenzhen Polytechnic for cultivating ICT talents and for promoting inter connectivity between education, talents, industries and innovation. A leaders group for the cooperation between Shenzhen Polytechnic and Huawei will be formed and leaders from the two sides will pay visit to each other to exchange information resources.

Chen Qiuming, Party chief of Shenzhen Polytechnic, said, “Shenzhen Polytechnic has the confidence and ability to provide talents and technology for the economic and social development of Shenzhen and Guangdong Province as a whole, and to write the standards for cultivating vocational personnel.”

Han Xiao, vice director of Huawei Enterprise Services, said, “We will work together to foster more ICT talents to make the field more sustainable.” (Yang Mei)
