By telling us a really short but sweet story about the author’s mamaw, the author shows all of us that beauty is just as simple as mamaw ironing papaw’s pants with starch from a Coke bottle. The author was about 13 and he couldn’t understand why mamaw kept ironing papaw’s work clothes since papaw hardly saw anyone every day, so he kept asking about it.

Mamaw told him that papaw was the most handsome man in the world. And not until the author turned 30 did he finally realize why.

This is a little warm story that could have happened to any one of us, our friends and family who express their love in their own way.

Maybe it took years for us to figure it out, just like it did for the author, but it is never too late to express our love and appreciation to them. Mamaw was a considerate person who ironed clothes for papaw to make him feel beautiful. It’s not useless to do such a thing; instead, useless things to outsiders may be the most important to the beloved.

It’s really a treasure when we have someone to care for. Telling them that they are the most handsome ones God has ever made is awesome.

You are proud of what he or she is, for they make your life complete. I am pretty sure this is exactly what the author wanted to tell us. Mamaw was old but still had the passion to show her love. We are young, young enough to love, and bright enough to appreciate the beauty around us.
