Cab service optimized

THE waiting lanes where green cabs pick up passengers at the Shenzhen airport have been discontinued, and people taking green cabs to the Shenzhen airport can now be dropped off at the departure hall terrace at Terminal 3.

As the number of green taxis has been greatly reduced, and most of them have been replaced by electric taxis, it is a waste of resources to reserve the business area for green cabs at the airport, the transport authority said.

Buildings dismantled

TWO illegal buildings in Baimang Village located within the water resources protection area of Xili Reservoir in Nanshan District were dismantled Wednesday.

The water resources area covers 8.88 square kilometers, including 5.5 square kilometers of land.

Port award

YANTIAN International Container Terminal (YICT) won a prize for being the best container port in Asia at a ceremony organized by Asia Cargo News on Wednesday.

YICT now handles around 1 million TEUs a month. Its throughput in 2017 reached 12.7 million TEUs.
