Illegal storage

PINGSHAN police recently detained three people from a logistics company that were illegally storing five tons of diesel fuel.

In a work safety check by authorities May 15, a logistics company in Jinsha Community in Kengzi Subdistrict was found to be keeping five tons of diesel fuel and illegally using ethyne and LPG for vehicle maintenance.

To save on costs, the company, which has more than 20 cargo vehicles, purchased an oil tanker to store some diesel fuel. The fuel operator, surnamed Li, didn’t have any training. The company head, the head of the truck fleet and Li have been detained for 10 days.

Drug users busted

GUANGMING police recently busted 25 drug-related cases in actions against drug crimes this year. A total of 167 drug addicts were detained.

In a routine check on the night of May 13, Guangming traffic police officers caught four drug addicts and handed them over to a local police station for investigation.

After questioning, police uncovered a drug trade clue. On the night of May 14, police arrested a drug dealer surnamed Zhang in a KTV club and seized 20 grams of drugs in 10 small parcels.

Following the clue provided by Zhang, police arrested two dealers in Dongguan.

University enrollment

HARBIN Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) will enroll 700 students this year, 25 percent more than the previous year.

Since 2016, it has enrolled more than 1,000 students in graduate studies and initiated the construction of 32 labs with a total investment of 903 million yuan (US$141 million).
