Charity program to aid mothers, kids
    2018-05-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A CHARITY program was launched Monday jointly by Care Daily, a Shenzhen-based mother and baby products manufacturer, and China Population Welfare Foundation to deliver care to mother and babies in poor regions in China.

Under the program, in the next three years, the two organizations will jointly distribute mother and baby materials for use in places such as the southern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture in Sichuan Province.

Speaking about the program, Zong He, vice director of the Chinese Hospital Association, said that it was timely as mothers and babies are now the key recipients of the nation’s poverty elimination efforts, which had entered a crucial stage.

Meanwhile, the National Health Commission recently launched a Maternal and Child Safety Action Plan (2018-2020) and Healthy Children Action Plan (2018-2020) to ensure maternal and child safety and healthy growth of children nationwide.

Separately, Niu Yanping from the foundation said that her organization looks forward to working with more enterprises in similar programs to respond to the nation’s poverty reduction policies and provide care to families in poor and remote areas.
