THE first cultural and creative industrial park aiming to promote the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture and traditional Chinese medicine was set up in Fuhai Subdistrict in Bao’an District on May 9.

The park is near the Fuyong Station on Metro Line 11. It is designed to become a demonstration park for the promotion of traditional Chinese culture.

With the theme of “Traditional Chinese Culture: New Era, New Industry and New Inheritance,” the first summit of the innovation and inheritance of traditional Chinese culture was held at the same time to explore the future transformation of the park.

It is estimated that the park will produce an annual gross domestic product of 3 billion yuan (US$470 million), with an estimated trade volume at 1 billion yuan. The park projects attendance numbers of at least 5 million tourists every year in the future.
