SAID BAKKALI, member of the Central Committee of Morocco’s Social Progress Party, said yesterday the Communist Party of China (CPC) had set a very good example for global political parties in terms of party building and theoretical innovation.

According to Bakkali, the trip to Shenzhen not only helped him gain a better understanding of Chinese culture, but also the CPC’s people-oriented polices and innovative mode of development.

“Our party has maintained a good partnership with the CPC over the years,” said Bakkali during an interview at the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting. He said that the two parties have kept the tradition of exchanging visits and pay special attention to the communication between young people from both countries.

“Our party always regards the CPC as a role model for its achievements in promoting and realizing theoretical innovation. Under the leadership of the CPC, China has successfully implemented socialism with Chinese characteristics and put China on the fast track to rejuvenation,” said Bakkali.

Bakkali said the high-level meeting is of great significance and has been well received by the attendees. “I think the meeting is a very good platform for political parties to deepen mutual understanding.

“After returning home, I will publicize and introduce the successful experience of China in reform and opening up as well as the tremendous economic achievements China has made to our party leaders, cadres and the people of Morocco,” said Bakkali, who felt very honored to be able to attend the meeting.

During the whole trip, Bakkali has also been wearing a badge with the emblem of the CPC on his chest. According to him, there is a story behind the badge, and it reflects his love for China.

“This is a small souvenir from a member of the CPC who visited Morocco years ago. I have always loved China very much. I am proud of the relations and exchanges between the two countries,” said Bakkali.
