Some of 65 senior high school students of the Tibetan ethnic group pose for a photo before leaving Shenzhen for their hometown, the Yushu Tibet Autonomous Region, Qinghai Province, yesterday. They return home to sit for gaokao, or the National College Entrance Examinations, which will take place next week. The students have been studying in a school in Puning in Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, for three years, after their schools were damaged in a 7.1-magnitude earthquake that hit Yushu in 2010, killing at least 2,200 people.Hong Kong China News Agency |
