Hollywood director Brian De Palma says he is writing a “horror film” script based on the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

De Palma, who directed the horror movie “Carrie” and the crime film “Scarface” in the 1970s and 80s, is “following Weinstein’s case very closely,” he told AFP news agency.

ABC TV network has canceled comedian Roseanne Barr’s sitcom after she posted a racist tweet likening an African-American former Obama aide to an ape. ABC said, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values and we have decided to cancel her show.”
