WITH three nods at the 19th Golden Trailer Awards, Feng Xiaogang’s nostalgic drama, “Youth,” saw one of its trailers take home the gong for best foreign music trailer, becoming the only Chinese winner at the annual award ceremony.

The award-wining trailer of “Youth” was made by Nurostar Film Company, which also produced the promotional spot for suspense film “Peace Breaker,” starring Hong Kong superstar, Aaron Kwok, which was also shortlisted among the nominations for best foreign drama trailer.

A trailer for the Chinese comedy fantasy, “Monster Hunt 2,” starring Tony Leung — made by the American company Trailer Park — was nominated in both the best foreign animation, family and adventure catagories.

However, the big winner was Marvel’s smash hit “Black Panther,” when the awards were announced at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on June 1. The superhero blockbuster nabbed four awards, including the top honor, best of show. The same trailer also took the award in the best action category.

The Golden Trailer Awards was founded in 1999 to honor marketing achievements in the film and television industries.
