Vertical marathon contestants run for love
    2018-06-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Pamela Code from the U.S., a copy editor at the Shenzhen Daily, gestures before a vertical marathon May 20.

Nearly 300 people of different ages from all over the world challenged themselves to ascend the 116 floors, 3,201 stairs and 541 meters of Ping An International Finance Center in central Futian on May 20 for the 2018 PAFC International Vertical Marathon Masters. The event was the first major public sporting event held in the tower since its completion in 2016.

Ping An Group will donate to children in rural areas the first free physical examination of their lives on behalf of every runner who completed all 116 floors.Sun Yuchen
