China’s securities regulator Thursday received an application from smartphone and connected device maker Xiaomi Corp. for its initial share offering (IPO) in China, a filing on the regulator’s website showed Friday.

Bloomberg also quoted sources with knowledge of the matter as saying Friday that Xiaomi has won Hong Kong stock exchange approval for its planned initial public offering, which would be the first listing in the city with weighted voting rights.

报道中的weighted voting rights就是“加权投票权”，也就是不同股东拥有不同权重的投票权的公司治理结构，通常给予公司创始人/实控人更大的话语权，之前港交所的规则是同股同权。
