THE Bao’an government has adopted new measures to attract large-scale and high-end businesses to set up in the district in an effort to attract and implement major industrial projects and to ensure these projects have resources for industrial carriers.

The first article on the measures, published recently by Bao’an’s investment promotion bureau, stipulates that the headquarter enterprises and major industrial projects, which play leading roles in Bao’an’s industrial development, will enjoy the right to select land and housing for their enterprises.

According to the second article, a one-time maximum reward of 50 million yuan (US$7.35 million) will be given to enterprises that have an annual output of 10 billion yuan once they settle in Bao’an.

The third article states that a one-time 10 million yuan will be given to emerging high-tech industrial projects that settle in the area and that have leapfrogged, revolutionized and made an original breakthrough in their industry.

The measures also specify the rewards for strategic emerging enterprises, unicorn enterprises, enterprises outperforming others in an aspect and gazelle enterprises.

In addition, finance enterprises and cultural and creative enterprises that choose to settle in Bao’an will be given financial support in a bid to strengthen Bao’an’s weaknesses in the finance and cultural industries.

According to the measures, 300,000 yuan, 500,000 yuan and 1 million yuan will be given to quality enterprises that registered in other districts but are operated in Bao’an, and those with output reaching 300 million yuan, 500 million yuan, 1 billion yuan on the condition that they choose to register in Bao’an.

Industrial parks will receive a certain amount of rewards if they successfully introduced major projects from other cities and district governments, according to the measures.

The measures also include favorable housing policies for the above-mentioned enterprises.(Yang Mei)
