péngyǒuquān chénggōng rénshì

Meaning:

“朋友圈”means “WeChat Moments,” the Chinese equivalent of facebook, and “成功人士” means “successful people.” “朋友圈成功人士”refers to those who seem to have really good jobs, fat income, harmonious families and interesting life but, however, more often than not their real life is not as glorious as what they look like on the social media.

Example:

A: 小丽又在朋友圈上晒东西了。

Xiǎo Lì yòu zài péngyǒuquān shàng shài dōngxi le.

Xiao Li is showing her stuff on the WeChat Moments again.

B: 这次她又晒了什么？

Zhècì tā yòu shài le shénme?

What are they this time?

A: 晒她新买的包包、衣服和手表。

Shài tā xīn mǎi de bāobāo、yīfú hé shǒubiǎo。

Her new bags, clothes and watches.

B: 她工资其实不高，就是典型的朋友圈成功人士。

Tā gōngzī qíshí bùgāo, jiùshì diǎnxíng de péngyǒuquān chénggōng rénshì.

Actually she doesn’t make a lot of money. She is a typical successful person on WeChat Moments.
