A: You seem absent-minded, what happened?

B: Nothing. I’m just worried about the mid-term exam next week.

A: Don’t count the chickesn before the eggs have hatched. Everything is gonna be fine.

Note: This idioim means “don’t make plans for something that might not happen.” The word “chickens” means the thing that you think is going to happen, but the fact that no eggs have hatched means there might be no chicken getting hatched. The idoim is used to describe situiations that someone is worrying about the things that are propbably not going to happen.
