Ten French movies made in 2017 will be screened at Broadway Cinematheque in MixC World and Broadway Cinema in Coco Park.

‘Lover for a Day’

Plot: A philosophy professor named Gilles has a relationship with Ariane, who is one of his students. Gilles’ daughter, Jeanne, moves in to live with them after being kicked out of her boyfriend’s apartment.

‘Barbara’

Plot: A broken marriage leads to a bitter custody battle over a son.

‘Promise at Dawn’

Plot: From his childhood in Poland to his adolescence in France and his tough training as a pilot during World War II, this tragi-comedy tells the romantic story of Romain Gary, one of the most famous French novelists and sole writers to have won the Goncourt Prize for French literature two times.
