1st children-themed theater in South China settles in Pinghu
    2018-07-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The first children entertainment theater in South China, Yayapa Chidren Theater, was set up in Shenzhen recently by Yayapa, a local creative team.

The team created the historical children’s original musical “Legend of Young Paper Dragon,” an intangible cultural heritage of Shenzhen that is going to be performed in New York City in August.

New York is no longer a far-fetched goal since the play was first shown in Shenzhen.

The play is based on the cultural and historical background of Pinghu Subdistrict. It perfectly combines history with children’s interest by telling a story of a paper dragon looking for the “dragon squama.”

In the eyes of Yaya, founder and CEO of Oxygen Media, choosing the best education and entertainment content for the next generation has become a top concern for parents and the government in today’s society.

Her company aims to tell stories with profound depths of history, festival customs and traditional culture in a vivid way welcomed by children.

This August, the team will bring two original plays named “The War of Traditional Festivals” and “Legend of Young Paper Dragon” to the United States.
