I WAS driving towards Sea World from Yanshan Road taking Gongye 3rd Road on June 26. There was a major traffic holdup as many buses and a few cars were blocking the crossing from Gongye 3rd Road and Taizi Road. We stood there for 15 minutes and nobody was moving. Traffic on Taizi Road towards Shekou port could not move because of issues further down the road. Traffic on Gongye 3rd Road could not move thanks to those blocking the crossing. Nowhere was there any traffic police to be found nor could my friend, who was in one of the stuck buses, get into contact with the bus operators to complain about the behavior of their drivers. Where were the police and when are they finally going to do something against those bus drivers who abuse the traffic laws so blatantly? We have cameras for facial recognition so we can trace down criminals but where are the cameras to capture these traffic violators? They are even much easier to recognize as they have a license plate!

I urge the traffic police to do something about ALL road-blocking at major roads, especially at rush hours. Check all the time and don’t just take special action every now and then like they do with food delivery drivers.
