Nanshan Museum

Ancient bronze mirrors, Buddha sculptures and ceramics collected by locals and private museums are also on display until July 29. Two more exhibitions of ancient stone sculptures, foreign coins and ancient weapons are being held until next year.

Children’s play

Danish director Steen Koerner will present his stage show “Hans Christian Andersen — Life Is a Fairytale” in Shenzhen. Starring Nikolaj Lie Kass as Danish author Andersen, this 90-minute presentation brings famous fairytales like “The Ugly Duckling,” “The Princess and the Pea,” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes” to life using cutting-edge 3-D technology that integrates physical objects with three-dimensional light structures.

Time: 7:30 p.m., July 10

Shenzhen Museum

Vibrant portrait, landscape and still life paintings created by legendary Chinese artist Pan Yuliang (1895-1977) are on display until July 22, giving insight into the strong woman’s dreams, longings and artistic outlook. Meanwhile, more than 140 pieces of relics unearthed from the North Pagoda in Chaoyang City in Liaoning Province are also on display until Oct. 7.

Siu Fai-wing’s works

Paintings, calligraphic works and sculptures created by Hong Kong artist Siu Fai-wing are on display. At the exhibition, visitors will not only admire Siu’s traditional calligraphy, but also the bird-worm seal script and oracle bone script styles.
