Nanshan offers free stays to fresh graduates
    2018-07-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

NANSHAN District Government has opened four more Grads Homes in the district to offer free accommodations to fresh graduates who are seeking jobs in Shenzhen, the Shenzhen Economic Daily reported yesterday.

Eligible college students who graduated this summer are allowed to stay in the accommodations for free for up to seven days. The five Grads Homes are located in Daxin, Dachong, Xili, Chaguang and Shekou, according to the Nanshan District Committee of the Communist Youth League, which is behind the project.

Eligible Grads Home applicants must be new graduates who intend to find jobs in Shenzhen and don’t have residence in the city. Applicants must also provide a proof of their health to be eligible to apply for the seven-day free stay.

As a public charity project, the Grads Homes, besides accommodating newcomers, also provide guidance for jobseekers by organizing workshops, salons and lectures on finding jobs.

Apart from Nanshan, Futian District also offers seven-day free accommodations to college graduates who are looking for jobs in Shenzhen. The move aims to attract more talents to the city. (Zhang Qian)
