Malaysian singer Michael Wong will give a concert this weekend in Shekou.

Also a songwriter, Wong is known for his love songs, many of which have become widely popular. He began his singing career in a duo with Victor Wong. The pair also attained notable success in Asia, but disbanded in 2000.

Michael Wong has released five solo albums since then, “Fairy Tale” being his breakthrough album. He has also written songs for other successful singers, such as “Courage” for Fish Leong.

Gaining more and more recognition globally, Wong has been Tourism Malaysia’s ambassador. He has won 44 awards, 23 of them for his hit song “Fairy Tale.” Wong has also managed to be nominated in the 17th Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan.
