Police aide force

A TOTAL of 678 police aides will be on duty after training in Shenzhen.

Since last December, when the local regulation on police aides took effect, the city has organized two recruitment drives for 5,000 new police aides.

The two recruitments attracted more than 30,000 applicants from around the country. The first batch of 678 police aides recently completed its training and will soon be assigned duties.

The regulation aims at standardizing the management of police aides. It also specifies the duties of police aides.

Trustworthy hospitals

EIGHT private hospitals in Shenzhen were given the title of Shenzhen Trustworthy Private Hospitals by Shenzhen Private Medical Institution Association at a ceremony Wednesday.

Shenzhen Aier Eye Hospital, Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Hospital and Shenzhen Zhongshan Urology Hospital were among the title winners Wednesday.

Hip slap

A MAN in Guangming has been detained for 11 days for slapping a woman’s hip for no reason but his own enjoyment.

The 32-year-old man admitted to sexual harassing the woman whom he saw crossing the street alone on the night of July 3.
