The van is suspected of being overloaded with passengers when the accident happened at 6 a.m. Police said on its official microblog shortly after the accident that one had been seriously injured. On the early morning of July 11, a driver was caught parking on the roadside near an intersection in Shajing, Bao’an District, sleeping. Police woke up the driver surnamed Zeng and suspected he was seriously drunk. A test showed his blood alcohol content had reached 288mg/100ml, more than three times the limit of 80mg/100ml for illegal driving. The investigation showed Zeng had drunk some red wine with friends.
