Summer break at Citygate Outlets in HK
    2018-07-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Summer is here and it’s the perfect time for a vacation, but even those staying in town this season can enjoy a getaway.

With an international array of musical performances, first-of-their-kind pop-up stores and seasonal shopping rewards, Citygate Outlets is set to make this summer a memorable one.

From July 20 to Aug. 19, over 80 international fashion brands in Citygate Outlets will offer discounts ranging from 30 to 70 percent off. Around-the-world musical performances, pop-up stores by Breitling, Eastpak, Havaianas, L’Occitane, OPTICAL 88 POP-UP Salon, Speedo and Arena, as well as summer special offers by Kate Spade New York and Michael Kors, will also be presented.

No summer party is complete without music. From July 27, performers from around the world will gather at the Town Square Citygate Outlets for a series of music and dance performances over three weekends.

African master drummer Mamadou and the Drum Jam will bring powerful and rhythmic African drums and dance performances, while Japanese percussionist Kumi Masunaga will lead a professional drumming group in a creative taiko drum performance combining the beauty of rhythm, dance and song.

Ukulele Federation Hong Kong will join hands with the Hong Kong International Hula Association for a performance of dreamy ukulele music with mesmerizing Hawaiian hula dance. The performers will mingle with shoppers after their performances, so make sure to be selfie-ready! For the perfect summer escape, look no further than Hong Kong’s largest outlet mall.

Venue: Citygate Outlets, 20 Tat Tung Road, Lantau Island, Hong Kong

MTR: Tung Chung Station
