Dog helps push man’s wheelchair
    2018-07-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FOOTAGE shows the touching moment a disabled man, Danilo Alarcon, 46, is pushed down a street in the city of Davao, the Philippines, by his loyal pet, Digong.

The 7-month-old dog, named after Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte, can be seen following its master and nudging his wheelchair along with its nose.

Alarcon has been unable to walk since he suffered a spinal injury in a motorcycle accident some years ago.

Onlooker Faith Revilla said that she and her husband, Danjo, were driving home when they saw the heart-warming scene.

She said, “We felt blessed to have witnessed this extraordinary sight of an amazing creature helping its master maneuver his wheelchair along Seminary Drive.

“I mean, I thought it only happens in TV shows, but this was a very real scene.

“I have no words to describe my emotions right now. May the good Lord bless them both.”

Revilla said she pulled over to talk to Alarcon and they later took him for lunch at an all-you-can-eat buffet. “It was a really beautiful moment when we saw the pair of them. We took Danilo to our favorite buffet. We wanted to treat him.”
