Training deal

SHENZHEN Yuto Packaging Technology Co., a Bao’an-based high-end packaging service provider, inked a deal with the International Packaging Institute (IPI) earlier this month in Shanghai to explore opportunities in the Chinese packaging market.

According to the deal, Shenzhen Yuto will be named the sole partner of the IPI and the two sides will build a training center to nurture packaging and printing talents in China, with the IPI providing high-quality trainings covering advanced packaging and printing technologies and management skills. The IPI is an education, networking and service center for the global packaging industry.

Patented invention

HUAXUNFANGZHOU Co., a Bao’an-based mobile broadband network service provider, won first prize for the WIPO-SIPO outstanding Chinese-patented invention and industrial design award, an honor sponsored by the State Intellectual Property Office.

The firm was awarded the prize for two of its products in satellite communication technology. The firm has applied for more than 200 patents at home and abroad for the two products and it has so far been granted nearly 80 patents, according to officials at the firm.

Punctuality rate

THE flight punctuality rate at the Shenzhen Bao’an international airport rose to 84.5 percent in the first half of the year, according to figures issued by Shenzhen Airport Co., operator of the airport.

The average punctuality ratio of airlines operating at the airport topped 80 percent nine months in a row, setting the stage for the airport to get approval from the nation’s civil aviation authority to allow more flights from the airport, according to the firm.
