Checkpoint efficiency

A DAILY average of 675,600 people crossed the border with Hong Kong through Shenzhen checkpoints, or 122 million in total, between January and June, an increase of 2.59 percent year-on-year.

On June 18, Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection adopted measures to ensure Chinese nationals can cross the border within 30 minutes by optimizing resources and improving border-crossing efficiency at checkpoints.

Fuel price

THE retail price of gasoline and diesel was lowered by 0.10 yuan (US$0.015) per liter yesterday due to lower crude oil prices on the international market.

The National Development and Reform Commission lowered the retail prices of gasoline and diesel by 125 yuan and 120 yuan per ton, respectively, yesterday. Residents can save 5 yuan by filling up a 50-liter tank.
