136 ancient tombs

A TOTAL of 136 tombs have been unearthed in a cemetery dating back to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-256 B.C.) in East China’s Shandong Province, local archaeological authorities said Tuesday.

The cemetery is located in Dahan Village of Tengzhou City, according to the provincial cultural heritage and archaeology institute.

Online pyramid fraud

CHINESE police have cracked down on an online pyramid scheme involving 10.2 billion yuan (US$1.5 billion) and over 220,000 investors, local authorities said yesterday.

Police in Meishan City, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, caught 82 suspects, who established hundreds of shell companies and 28 fake industrial chains.

THE National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publications has publicized a major case on profiting from obscene online content.

Five suspects were arrested in the case in East China’s Jiangxi Province, with more than 200 online live-streaming platforms showing obscene content and performances, as well as over three million yuan (US$442,000) involved.
