Aerial corridor

AN aerial corridor will link facilities in Bao’an CBD, according to the planning recently approved by the district government.

The total length of the pedestrian corridor will run about 5 kilometers. It includes a landscaped corridor for sightseeing and leisure, and a walking corridor for commuters.

Nonmotor vehicle lanes

IN a bid to regulate electric bicycles and improve traffic capacity, Shajing Subdistrict in Bao’an District has piloted the transformation of the outermost motor vehicle lanes on both sides of Xihuan Road into two nonmotor vehicle lanes.

Nonmotor vehicles account for about 85 percent of the traffic on Xihuan Road during morning rush hours, while motor vehicles account for only about 15 percent, according to the subdistrict office.

Residents are welcome to voice their suggestions for optimizing the traffic scheme by emailing szthc@126.com.
