Trains halted

SHENZHEN North Railway Station halted trains D3112 to Hangzhou, D2282 and D3126 to Nanjing, and D2284, D2286, D2288 and D3108 to Shanghai due to Typhoon Rumbia, the 18th typhoon of the year, which was forecasted to make a landfall between Zhejiang and Shanghai late Thursday.

Online obscenity

SHENZHEN police recently busted a criminal ring that was allegedly engaged in online gambling and streaming obscene performances.

A total of 20 suspects who were responsible for the platform’s operation, promotion and content were caught separately in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Xi’an and Lianyungang.

More than 100 people were involved in the obscene performances and the streams would have 790,000 viewers on average, police said.

New tollgates

THE new Tangtou, Luotian and Shuilang tollgates were put into use Thursday. As Nanguang Expressway between Nanshan and Guangming and Longda Expressway between Longhua and Guangming are now toll free, drivers no longer need to take a card when entering the expressways, nor pay a fee when they exit.
