10 illegal structures demolished
    2018-08-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

BAO’AN deployed hundreds of law enforcement officers Aug. 8 to demolish 10 illegal structures covering 23,950 square meters.

Bao’an Party chief Yao Ren ordered bulldozer operators to start at the main demolition venue in Fuhai Subdistrict on the afternoon of Aug. 8. The 2,200 square meters of shops near Haowannian Supermarket on Fu’an Road had been illegally built on a public passage and posed safety hazards to the public. Twenty makeshift shops were leveled in the action.

Several other illegal buildings in Fuhai also came under the bulldozer on the same day. Fuhai Subdistrict leaders pledged to finish the demolition tasks this year to safeguard public safety and make room for industrial development.

The Aug. 8 demolition action covered the district’s 10 subdistricts.

Bao’an has shown zero tolerance toward illegal buildings. The district launched its first centralized action against illegal buildings of the second half of the year July 4, demolishing a total of 20,902 square meters in 10 subdistricts.

By July 4, Bao’an had carried out 15 centralized operations and demolished 425,000 square meters of illegal structures.  (SD News)
