Each inoculation costs 1,323 yuan (US$192). Three inoculations are needed within six months.

Fake sportswear

LUOHU DISTRICT’S market supervision department has launched an investigation into three shops for allegedly selling counterfeit Nike and Adidas sportswear.

In an action Aug. 15, officers seized 1,099 pieces of sportswear and shoes from these shops.

The shops in Dongmen on Leyuan Road and Chunfeng Road looked the same as the authorized outlets of Adidas and Nike, but sold counterfeit products at prices 80 to 50 percent below the prices of the genuine products. It was not easy for buyers to distinguish the fake products as they were packaged with full sets of labels and tags.

Tipoff rewards

SHENZHEN traffic police department gave out 3 million yuan to whistleblowers who reported traffic violations in the first half of the year.

The tip-offs included reports of people using mobile phones while driving. On Aug. 10, police received a video clip showing a man using his phone while driving on Meiguan Road, which was seriously congested with heavy traffic during the morning rush hour.

The driver was fined 200 yuan and had two penalty points added to his license.
