Germs in drinking water

THREE types of drinking water made by two factories, Baoyuanda in Bao’an and Meidiquan in Longgang, were found containing pseudomonas aeruginosan, which can lead to such diseases as acute gastroenteritis, meningitis, sepsis and skin inflammation, according to Shenzhen market supervision commission.

Man killed in brawl

A 32-YEAR-OLD man surnamed Huang was killed at an Internet bar on Meihua Road, Futian District on Tuesday.

The suspected killer is a man surnamed Chen, aged 29. A fight broke out between the two while they were surfing the Internet.

Fugitive arrested

A WOMAN surnamed Pan was arrested for corruption in June after 13 years on the run.

Pan, an accountant, profited by abusing her power and absconded with public funds in 2005. During the 13 years, she hid her true identity, lived in different cities and had plastic surgery to evade detection and punishment.
