A student takes a picture of a freshly painted water pipe along Lianhua Road in Futian District. The 2.28-km pipe, which carries treated sewage water from Binhe Water Treatment Plant to Xinzhou River, received a makeover earlier this year that included anti-rusting treatment and a paint job, which has improved the street scene and attracted residents. The painting depicts the stories of four fairy tales, namely “The Lion King,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Snow White” and “Alice in Wonderland.”
